Our Pearls:

Pearls are at the heart of Adorn Pili.

Rather than seeking perfect uniformity, we are drawn to pearls with natural shape, luminous surfaces, and individual character. Baroque, keshi, and organically shaped freshwater pearls give our jewelry the sculptural quality that defines many of our designs.

Every pearl is individually selected to complement the piece it becomes part of — considering its shape, proportion, luster, color, and how it interacts with the pearls around it.

Caring for Your Jewelry

• Put jewelry on after applying perfume, lotion, hairspray, and other cosmetics.
• Remove pearl jewelry before swimming, bathing, or exercising.
• Avoid prolonged exposure to chlorine, saltwater, household cleaners, and other chemicals.
• After wearing, gently wipe pearls and metal with a clean, soft cloth.
• Because pearls are naturally porous, avoid soaking them or using ultrasonic jewelry cleaners.
  

Storing Your Jewelry

Proper storage helps preserve the finish, shine, and condition of your jewelry.

• Store jewelry in a cool, dry place, ideally inside its pouch, box, or another enclosed jewelry case.
• Keep sterling silver stored away from open air and humidity when not being worn, as exposure can accelerate natural tarnishing.
• Store pieces separately to help prevent scratching, tangling, and friction between metals and pearls.
• Keep pearls away from excessive heat, direct sunlight, and very humid environments.
• Avoid storing jewelry in bathrooms or other areas where moisture levels regularly change.
• Before storing your jewelry, make sure it is clean and completely dry.

How to Clean Your Jewelry:

For everyday cleaning, gently wipe your jewelry with a soft, lint-free cloth after wear.

• For 14k solid gold and 14k gold-filled metal, use a small amount of mild soap diluted in lukewarm water when deeper cleaning is needed. Gently clean the metal, rinse carefully, and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
• For sterling silver, gently polish with a silver polishing cloth to remove tarnish and restore shine. For deeper cleaning, use mild soap and lukewarm water, then dry thoroughly. Avoid harsh or abrasive cleaners.
• For pearls, keep cleaning especially gentle. Use a slightly damp, soft cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners, polishing compounds, chemical jewelry dips, or ultrasonic cleaners.
• For pieces that combine pearls with gold or sterling silver, always follow the care requirements of the pearls first.
